We went here as a pit stop before heading to SFO to go back home to LA. They mentioned that today 4/5/25 is their last day :(. I met the owner and sparked a conversation. You can tell she put her heart and soul into this business. I wanted to cry for her. I hope she reads this and knows that this cute little ice cream shop added a bit of sweetness into the last minutes of our San Francisco trip.

Always the best ice cream and fast friendly service. So sad to learn that the doors will shut for good on 4/6/2025. Stop by and enjoy a scoop or two before it's too late.

This was my first time here, but it will not be my last! My husband and I went out to dinner for Valentine's Day , but we were too full to have dessert at the restaurant. On our drive back I started to crave a sweet treat and I recalled reading about this place when researching Korean desserts, so we headed over to sweet connections not knowing their hours, but hoping it would be opened. We arrive at 7:56 pm and rushed in and asked the lady at the entrance of she was still serving customers because it was closing time, she said "yes and I didn't realize that it was 8 pm", their closing time. Right there she earned the first stars for customer service!, the other two came with the taste of our Korean bingsu, exceptional treat and we are hooked. We will be back and will definitely recommend to everyone we know, they have icecream, milkshakes, smoothies and shaved ice too, so many treats to try. I am not sure how long they have been opened, but hope they remain providing this level of quality and great disservice for years to come.

We had just finished our lunch reception for a funeral; and some of the siblings and cousins wanted something sweet. Since we were right down the street from where we had lunch, we walked right over to Sweet Connections. They offered so much to choose from. I got a small Kahlua pie ice cream. So good. The others had bingsu, shave ice, and ice cream. There must have been easily over 30 of us flooding the ice cream shop and just two servers, but they got everyone of us served. They served our group with a smile and were very helpful. We must've been there hanging out over two and a half hours but were not asked to leave. I think the owner was one of the two servers. We were taking pictures and she offered to help take our picture. She was so gracious. From outside, I thought it would be small, but to our surprise, it accommodated all 30 of us. It's a great place to get ice cream and to hangout. I would definitely come back with friends and family. And I would absolutely recommend this place. Check them out.

Went here on a Tuesday an hour before closing. Weekday night and it was quiet. Politely greeted in this old fashion looking 70's feel ice cream parlor that serves "Bingsu"! Fluffy ice that melts in your mouth. The place is nice and bright and the unisex restroom is clean. Wife and I shared the Mango Bingsu with fresh, cut in front of you, Mango. You can't beat this at $10.25 an order! Will definitely be back at this price for fresh Mango Bingsu. I noticed that they also serve Dole Whip...next time.

This is slowly starting to become my new favorite place to get ice cream. Staff is friendly, there are plenty seats and the flavor options are top tier. My daughter has an allergy to dairy, eggs, soy and peanuts so her ice cream choices are non-existent. Luckily, they have the dole whip sorbet (pineapple or lime flavor). It's free of dairy, nuts, eggs, and soy. She loves it every time. The lime is starting to be my new go-to flavor. When I'm in the area it's hard to not go inside and get a scoop.

Very friendly staff and they serve dole whip!! Besides the original pineapple flavor, they also had pomegranate flavor dole whip that day so I opted for a swirl. I was immediately transported to Hawaii. It was very refreshing and perfect for a warm Bay Area day. Can't wait to go back and try their shave ice, ice cream, and bingsoo!! No picture as we dug in too quickly!

Very happy to find this place after a long hunt. This is the closest to shaved cotton ice in Asia, though a little sweeter. It's airy and fluffy. If possible to reduce sweetness would be great! Too bad the shaved layered snow is no longer available here! Please keep this one!

Sweet Connections is a local family owned business since 2009 in downtown San Bruno. Lapperts ice cream, frozen yogurt, Hawaiian Shave Ice, Dole Whip, Milkshakes and Korean Bingsoo, so many tempting treats! I chose the Dole Pineapple/Strawberry Swirl, it was reminiscent and just as delicious as the Dole Whips at Disneyland. Friendly service with no shortage of tables and seating available and a private party room in the back. I will be back to have a Korean Bingsoo.

Note that this review is based on their bingsu. I'm always game for trying new bingsu places. Ever since I was introduced to them, especially mango flavored ones, it has hands down been my favorite dessert. Some places do it better than others, so if a place does it well, it's a great sign. This place looked promising so wanted to try, even though I was skeptical as it specializes Hawaiian shaved ice.  We ordered the mango bingsu, and they got the shaved ice through the ice maker with mango drizzle and cut fresh mango as well. Had a bite, and wow was it great! The ice was so soft and just melted in your mouth, exactly how good bingsu is. They didn't have condensed milk on the side, but it was flavored with it already. I thought it was a bit much on the sweet side, but still tasted good. The mangos were fresh and sweet, but I'm assuming the season may affect that.  The dessert was overall super enjoyable, and am glad that there is another place that I can get my bingsu fix in the area! Given how good this was, will have to try their main Hawaiian ice dessert next time.
